History Makers

There have been many that society thought would not amount to much or would not be able to overcome what life had placed in their path. Thomas Edison, the greatest inventor of all time, was deaf. Abraham Lincoln was born of illiterate parents. Helen Keller who couldn’t see or hear graduated with honors from college. Louis Pasteur, whose discoveries are some of the most important in medical history, was so near-sighted that he had a difficult time finding his way to his lab without his glasses. These are all people whose passion took them far past any limitations that life tried to place on them.  Each made history in spite of all that was against them or all they didn’t have going for them.
Let me introduce you to another group.  Two thousand years ago a small group of unique characters, took the world for Christ. They were described as those who turned the world upside down!  The world saw nothing in them. They weren’t fancy, They weren’t the elite in society, but they had a power unmatched by any energy ever unleashed in the earth.
What was the secret to their power?  If one studies the book of Acts (the history of the early church) and the epistles (the writings of the early church), it becomes very apparent that those who turned the world upside down…prayed! (Acts 1:14, 2:42, 6:4, Romans 12:12, Ephesians 6:18, Colossians 4:2)
Do you want to change your world?  Want to make a difference? Give yourself to prayer and allow God to use you as He used those in the early church. You can make a difference!
