The 2017 World Network of Prayer Leadership Retreat that convened February 27 – March 1 was a great success! The event was held at Pallottine Renewal Center in Florissant, Missouri. In the history of WNOP, this event was the first leadership retreat conducted for prayer coordinators! The event theme was “Greater,” and the main speaker was Rodney Shaw from Austin, Texas. There was a great attendance of 35 individuals from across America representing their districts. Upon the conclusion of the event, many expressed how the training greater equipped them in prayer ministry, how their lives were greater transformed, and how they were greater rejuvenated in the Spirit! There was a unanimous consensus to host this event again in the future.
John 14:12 declares “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do….” Some of the event topics included: Greater Works; Greater Change; Straight Talk; South Texas Interactive Prayer Activity; A Wealth of Resources; Creative Team Building; Greater Prayer Leadership; Greater Team Ministry; Plowing Before the Planter Overview; WNOP Forum and Q&A; and more. This dynamic event greater fortified every prayer coordinator to lead more effectively in prayer . The following photos and comments speak volumes of all that transpired, and the indelible impact that was made upon the attendees. Truly, “Our God is greater”! Applicably, as you lead in front, God’s got your back…and remember, “The power behind you is greater than the task before us”!
With great gusto and passion, I joyfully reported to all who inquired . . . “this was the closest I have come to the Upper Room . . . all in in one mind and one accord”. How refreshing to be in a setting where 100% of the individuals were 100% focused on prayer! Jeanne Gunter, Sulphur, LA
The WNOP Leadership Retreat was a wonderful blessing. I learned so much and was inspired by the teaching and the things shared. It was also a great opportunity to meet and fellowship with some of God’s precious people. Thank you WNOP team for putting this event together, I look forward to the next one. ~ Kara Schlupp, Bellevue, Nebraska
The Leadership Retreat was very empowering. The challenge to become better leaders was well presented and anointed. Being able to form relationships with other prayer coordinators was also a highlight. ~ Rick Lovall, Missouri District Prayer Coordinator
The WNOP Prayer Leadership Retreat was awesome in every way; from the warm reception, breaking bread, prayer, anointed teaching and preaching, tongues and interpretation to saying goodbye to our new dearest friends…wouldn’t have missed it! ~ Ruth Cremeans, Cuero, Texas
This leadership retreat was one of the best I have ever attended. It was Spirit filled, informative and I was able to network with dedicated saints of prayer from around the country. Thank you all to all the leadership of WNOP and Pastor Rodney Shaw for their inspiring contributions. ~ Charles Russell, Houston, Texas
I returned from the retreat renewed, challenged and ready to continue promoting prayer in my district!! I enjoyed Bro. Hofstetter’s presentation and have already reached out to the NAM Director here in the Texas District to have him come to Texas and train us so we can in turn ‘Plow Before the Planter’! I also enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow attendees and feel like I have made many new friends. ~ Becky Powell, Texas District Prayer Coordinator
