The Secret Place

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).
“My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it” (Ezekiel 7:22).
When you go into your “secret place” with God, don’t let the robbers follow you in. The trials, battles, negative thoughts, feelings of despair, hopelessness, and weariness can rob you of the joy in God’s presence.

Leave it all at the door, of your secret place, and let the touch of heaven overwhelm your troubles. Let God’s refreshing breeze of love, hope and promise flood your soul, where you can then go out, and conquer and overcome!

Pray:
  • for consistency in daily going into your secret place with God.
  • for help to leave all distractions of life at the door.
  • for the courage to cast all of our cares on Him.
  • for our focus to remain on God and His power and not the trials of life.
