“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Recently I was on a plane and noticed a father walking his eleven-month-old daughter up and down the aisle. It was a lengthy flight and she needed to move. Back and forth they went for most of the flight with short breaks in between.  On one of the passes I watched for a few minutes and I noticed she had a cracker in one hand. As she was about to pass me she stopped and took a bite of the cracker. She waited for a moment, finished eating the entire cracker and then went back to walking. Even at an early age she knew she needed to stop and refuel. As Christians there are times our schedules are full and our days are overloaded.  We must get in the habit of reminding ourselves to take the time to … stop and refuel on His word.

Prayer Points:
  • Lord, help us to remember to stop.
  • Help us remember to refuel.
  • Help us to listen to you speak to us through Your word.
