Never, Never, Never Give Up!

In all the fast pace that we are thrown into each day it is easy to become weary. We know the scripture tells us in Galatians 6:9; “And
let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Yet the daily challenges, the ongoing spiritual battles we are engaged in, combined with all the responsibilities we have in daily life and in our walk with God in service to Him it can easily become overwhelming. Many have succumb to the pressure and stress becoming statistics. This is not new, in Colossians 4:14, Demas was an active help in ministry. Yet in II Timothy 4:10, Demas had forsaken his ministry.
In World War II, Britain was under intense pressure from the enemy. Yet through perseverance Britain survived and overcame the challenge. Later as Winston Churchill would travel to various speaking engagements he would share a secret that led to victory. Churchill said; “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never – in nothing; great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force, never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
Sometimes it would seem easier to quit and give in to the pressure. Truth is thepressure and the challenges would actually increase and worsen by giving up. There is not enough room to expound, but you get the idea. Paul revealed how he maintained and stayed the course saying; “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).  We must enter into prayer to be able to enter into battle and overcome anything we face. There must be enough time with Jesus. From the very beginning those in the first church realized this. “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you” (Acts 1:8): By being full of the Holy Ghost, endued with His power, receiving direction, understanding, wisdom and with endurance we continue. Never, Never, Never give up!
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).
  • Pray: Lord help me in my every challenge and direct me in the way you would have me to go (Pray Proverbs 4:18).
  • Pray: God give me wisdom and knowledge to become a more than a conqueror (Pray Romans 8:35-39).
  • Pray: You know the end from the beginning, you know the path that I walk. Help me, speak to my heart. Strengthen me by your Spirit (Pray Psalm 143:10).
  • Pray: Lord  I pray for your wisdom and will in all my decision and goals (Proverbs 3: 5-6).
  • Pray: Lord as I become still and silent, speak to me I am listening. (Pray I Samuel 3:10).
