O Give Thanks

“O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!  For his mercy endures forever” (Psalm136:1 NKJV)
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends (not to mention a lot of good food) and reflect on the blessings of the last year. Many of us experience renewed hope and faith during the Thanksgiving holiday because we turn our eyes onto what is most important.
What if we spent time each day in prayer giving thanks? How much more could God grow our faith and trust if we lived a life of thanks through all seasons, not just Thanksgiving? When our hearts are filled with gratitude, there is little room to worry or complain.
Take time this holiday week to reflect on who God is, and then spend time thanking Him for being that to you.  Think on the blessings of God in your life, then take time to offer Him sincere thanks for those things.  Learn to have an awareness of the blessings in your life and you will never be without something to give thanks for.
Happy Thanksgiving to those in North America.  And for those abroad, may God’s blessings be on your and your family this week. We are thankful for all of you who partner with us in prayer.
Blessings,
